Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CircadianShield ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

Circadian Shield Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software on macOS devices you own or control, subject to the terms of your subscription tier:

• Free Trial: Full access to all features for 14 days from first launch.
• Basic ($4/mo or $39/yr): Core circadian filtering features on one Mac.
• Pro ($8/mo or $79/yr): All features including health dashboard, per-display control, advanced modes, and ambient light adaptation.

3. Payment and Billing

Subscriptions are processed by LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you are not satisfied. Contact [email protected] with your order details.

5. Permitted Use

You may:

• Install and use the Software on devices you own or control
• Make a reasonable number of backup copies

You may not:

• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the Software to develop competing products

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. CIRCADIAN SHIELD INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Health Disclaimer

CircadianShield is a screen color temperature management tool, not a medical device. The circadian health scores, light debt calculations, melanopic EDI measurements, and break reminders are informational only and should not be considered medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for sleep disorders or circadian rhythm concerns.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CIRCADIAN SHIELD INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DISPLAY DAMAGE, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Display and System Safety

CircadianShield modifies display color output using standard macOS APIs. While these modifications are fully reversible and we include safety mechanisms (emergency reset shortcut, gamma watchdog, opacity limits), you acknowledge that display modifications carry inherent risks. The emergency reset shortcut (Ctrl+Option+Escape) is available at all times.

10. Updates

We may release updates to the Software. Updates may be required for continued use. We reserve the right to modify features between versions.

11. Termination

Your license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall the Software. The Software will restore all display settings to their defaults upon uninstallation or license expiration.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the application or website.
